Grahame taught himself to play the guitar, bass and piano as a teenager growing up in Epsom and Dartford during the early 70s. He played with, and learnt from, a number of school friends, culminating in two creative years playing covers and composing unique prog-folk-rock songs with Mick.
He stopped playing music for 12 years after leaving school and losing contact with Mick. But he started again when he met his wife who had a piano and bought him a guitar. Since 2014 he’s been dedicated to writing new songs and learning to record them.
Grahame rediscovered Mick in early 2017 following a tip-off from another old school friend. Grahame says: 'The collaboration with Mick on these new songs has been great; I've become a much better musician, songwriter and producer.'
Grahame is now dedicated to putting the finishing touches to 15 pop rock songs for his solo album. He’s also working on recording more experimental songs that reflect his love of Pink Floyd, Radiohead and alternative rock, and he's continuing to collaborate with Mick.
Grahame loves the thrill of creating a new song from thin air and writing lyrics that tell an engaging story. Many of his songs reflect his wry sense of humor, such as his first single, I'm Alive. It's a Miracle! which is about the surprising longevity of Keith Richards (watch the music video here, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VHsVKKbOnt8, or find it on Spotify, iTunes, etc).
He’s not interested in becoming famous. His goal is to reach as wide an audience as possible, in the hope that a few people will enjoy the songs enough to sing them in the shower, tell their friends about them and try to play them.
